Wind Microclimate Daylight & Sunlight Assessment, Waverley House, Bournemouth
The proposed redevelopment of Waverley House in Bournemouth, led by Troika Property Holdings, which involves replacing the existing seven-storey office building at 115–119 Holdenhurst Road with a landmark 27-storey mixed-use tower. The scheme includes purpose-built student accommodation comprising 596 units, commercial and office spaces, and a range of communal amenities, including study areas, lounges, a gym, and a public café.
Windtech was engaged to undertake a daylight and sunlight assessment in support of a planning application. Leveraging our extensive experience in preparing environmental reports for planning submissions, we were able to apply key insights from our pedestrian wind microclimate studies to inform a robust and context-sensitive daylight and sunlight Analysis.
By utilising advanced 3D daylight simulation software, Windtech was able to conduct assessments efficiently, delivering timely and reliable results to the client. This technology enables clear visualisation of outcomes, enhancing our ability to communicate complex findings effectively and succinctly, both in technical reporting and client discussions. Windtech is pleased to announce that Waverly House has passed planning and has proceeded to the next stages.
